Description The American Cancer Society's Workplace Solutions markets evidence-based health interventions to employers and assists employers in implementing these interventions. The interventions include tobacco cessation programs, healthy living and eating programs, and increased coverage for cancer screening procedures by employee health insurance. Workplace Solutions markets the interventions to employers by emphasizing the increased productivity and economic benefits of a healthy workforce.

Workplace Solutions provides an assessment that evaluates employee health benefits, employee health programs, and workplace policies. Based on this assessment, Workplace Solutions helps employers develop a customized plan to improve employee health.
Goal / Mission The American Cancer Society's Workplace Solutions assists employers in implementing evidence-based health interventions that reduce risk factors for cancer by promoting healthy lifestyle choices.
Results / Accomplishments An evaluation of Workplace Solutions among eight public and private employers found that the marketing based approach to promoting employee health interventions was positively received by employers. Among the employers, there was a significant improvement in tobacco cessation treatment, coverage of cancer screenings, and overall implementation of best practices as a result of Workplace Solutions.

In addition, over 1,350 companies and 231,000 employees have participated in Active for Life, one of Workplace Solutions' employee physical fitness programs.
