The goal of the Cambridge-Somerville Healthy Homes Project is to lower the frequency of asthma attacks in children and help families make their homes safer.
Participants are referred to the program either by physicians or themselves. After referral, program staff conduct three in-home visits, during which they provide medical education, assess the home for asthma triggers and home safety hazards, and provide environmental interventions to reduce exposure to these triggers.
