What is this Indicator?
This indicator shows the rate of motor vehicle crashes per 1,000 licensed Florida resident drivers aged 15-18. |
| Why this is important: 35% of the licensed drivers in Florida are between the ages of 15 to 18. In 2009 there were over 235,000 traffic crashes, 13% of those crashes involved teen drivers. Over 10,000 of those teens were killed in the crashes. |
| Technical Note: The distribution for this indicator is based on data from all 67 Florida counties. |
