What is this Indicator?
This indicator shows the ranking of the county in clinical care according to the County Health Rankings. |
| Why this is important: Accessing clinical care necessitates both providers and insurance. People without insurance often do not seek preventive and primary care services and thus are at a higher risk of preventable illnesses and are more likely to have acute issues turn into chronic problems. Moreover, a sufficient number primary care providers in a community allows people to receive adequate preventive and primary care services which reduces the need for specialists and more expensive medical care. |
| Technical Note: The distribution is based on data from 67 Florida counties.Counties are ranked relative to the health of other counties in the same state on a variety of health measures. Those having high ranks, e.g. 1 or 2, are considered to be the "healthiest." Use caution when comparing current ranking to previous time periods as ranking criteria may have changed. |
